California Proves to be the Most Unfriendly State of the US

The Mercatus Center at George Mason University, discussed the major problems which made California stand at the 48th position among 50 states as per the ranking in “Freedom in the 50 States: An Index of Personal and Economic Freedom”.

The major backdrops in California are unemployment, high tax burdens, the place had been claimed as the poorest performing places in the world in the field of business, as per the publications from Forbes. The state was rated as the second most unemployed place in the US. Moreover, the people have to pay heavy taxes which included payment for gas and business.

The state was claimed as the worst state which did not permit people to fulfill their own aspirations, and that it was an obstacle in the way of freedom the people of the state with strict policies and laws. The state has not only the highest tax rate in comparison to other states of the nation, but it also looked into the personal lives of the people.

On the contrary, states like South Dakota and Texas had a lower unemployment rate of 4.9% and 8% and also paid taxes at a lower rate. Therefore, the Government of California is needed to establish a strong business and social environment along with efforts to lower the burden of taxation among people of the state.
